Self-Care Practice: Daily Affirmations
A simple at home self-care practice…
Affirmations or Mantras are one way to practice mindfulness. They can be supportive in slowing down to ground, re-connect, and even change your mood as you shift your awareness toward yourself. We are the stories we tell ourselves as the energy of our thoughts manifest in our bodies and beings. What story will you tell yourself every day?

Close your eyes if its comfortable or soften your gaze and begin by taking 3 deep breaths into the belly. Allowing your exhale to be slightly longer than your inhale (inhale for a count of 3 or 4, exhale for a count of 5 or 6).
Repeat these 3 times out loud or to yourself.
• With this breath, I release anything that no longer serves me.
• I am grounded and connected to my body and the earth.
• I forgive and accept myself.
• I am enough. I do enough. I have enough.
• Create your own. “I am ______” (love, powerful, patient, confident, etc)
If it feels right, continue to create and follow your own words and inner guidance.

Trust your own process. Always.
